What about braille graphics?

Braille Graphics is a complex subject. Experts disagree on the best way to present tactile graphics, such as maps, to a blind student or adult. Some graphics are best done without an embosser, some graphics work well on a standard embosser. The greatest difficulty with embosser graphics is the lack of a continuous line.

The QuickTac program (freeware from Duxbury Systems) allows the creation of embosser graphics. These graphics pages can be imported into DBT Win 12.7.

A new product, Tactile View allows the creation of sophisticated tactile graphics which can be incorporated into DBT 11.3. This product can be operated by a blind user.
